LNH/PRECOG: Twenty Years Ago...
"Legion of Net.Heroes... this is a distress call from the 199th.2 Century..."

Twenty years ago, a call to arms brought the LNH together.

"You are on the brink of a Cosmically Important Point. What you do now will determine whether our future exists."

Since then, they have won their battles against time-traveling despots, cosmic beings of pure evil, and their own twisted, corrupted duplicates.

"...systems are failing... life support is offline... and the worst part is..."

There is only one thing that can stop them, only one thing that can defeat them for good.

"This is a force that has destroyed entire worlds."

Latest LNH Stories...
Here is a list of the latest LNH stories... just so people don't think the LNH died back in 2006...

19 years of LNH....
The LNH is 19 years old today... which means...

...there is only one year left to prepare for the big 20 year anniversary!!!!

But seriously, way back during the 5th anniversary Drizzt gathered up a bunch of essays from the LNH writers of that time and posted them to racc.

I thought it might be nice to do the same thing for the 20th, so I'm putting a call out for anyone who has ever been an LNH writer or reader to send me an essay, or thought, or something. Doesn't have to be big. A pithy sentence will do. And I'd figure I'd get this out now since some writers (like myself) seem to take forever to write stuff... so this gives you a year or so...

Send them to me by April 26th, 2012... arspitzer@earthlink.net

Or I guess you could post them yourself to racc, (or ac.lnh, or here if you want) on April 29, 2012...

Acton Lord hits the Dollar Spot!
Back when I was planning up for my abandoned LNH2 setting, I was heavily influenced by the Nobilis RPG, and I decided that the new Acton Lord would use some flower-code imagery. Nobilis had no "Corruption" flower, but after doing some research I decided that Nigella damascena fit the bill nicely.

Now, Target's been putting holiday-themed grow pots in their "Dollar Spot" section, like shamrocks in March or little spruce seedling seeds in December. Because Nigella damascena's popular name is Love in the Mist, it's one of the Valentine's-themed pots at Target right now. So I snagged a few. :)

Killfile Wars Progress....

About half of it still needs beta work. (The first six parts are pretty much done on that front.)
Two parts are still to be written.
Other than... I think it will just start two months behind schedule.

Killfile Wars Update.
Killfile Wars #1-6 rough draft are still done.
Onion Lad #7-10 rough drafts are done.
Vel #15-17 rough drafts are almost done.

Probably by the end of the week I will start on the last two series that need to be written before I do the second drafts and beta edits. Then one more issue of Onion Lad. I plan to start posting in late Febuary and keep going weekly for the full 22 weeks.

Killfile Wars writing progress to date:

Killfile Wars #1, and #2-6 have completed rough drafts.
Vel #15 has a completed rough draft with #16 coming together really nicely. Should have that done by the weekend.
Onion Lad #7 and #8 have completed rough drafts. I have to get a beta on them done. Tom Russell has given me the go ahead on what little stuff I needed to clear with him. Dane Martin has given me the go ahead to do what I want with his characters.

The other tie-ins exist in various stages of outline. For the most part I'm going to write the tie ins straight through series by series. Vel and Onion Lad are a little different because they are less tangential to the main event and while they handle completely different aspects of the story, they actually crossover with each other at various points.

Upcoming Events
Here's the deal. I've sent emails to a few other people (those I have regular contact with) and I thought I might as well post something here.

I know it's a spoiler but ....

There no that I said this... I think what I have to say now will make a lot of sense. Ultimate Ninja is going to host a Celebrity Roast in honor of Ultimate Ninja.

I have written some of the bits. And Saxon Brenton wrote a little speech. If anyone else is interested please email me at 'Cabbagewielder at yahoo.com. If I don't get any more replies before my return to Baltimore, I'll write a few more when I get back.

Dalton Asters
Name: Dalton Percival Asters
Created by: Jesse N. Willey
Primary Writer: Jesse N. Willey
Status: Reserved

Height: 5'11
Weight: 185 lbs

At some point in his life, Dalton became a reoccuring alien abductee. Or so he claims. He has a series of implants throughout his body and must wear tinfoil around his head to stop his thoughts from being monitoring by aliens. The foil also blocks transmissions from aliens, tv networks and internet providers. (Again... so he claims.) How much of this is actually true? Why should I tell you? You gotta have some surprises in a story.

Dalton is a perpetual wandering. He rarely visits his family. His dad believes in Dalton's weird stories, as does his Uncle John. The rest of the family does not. Dalton has another uncle who lives somewhere in Canada having moved there in the sixties to dodge the draft and for some reason fears he might still be arrested.

Dalton is generally an easy going guy. A bit of cook at times and maybe a bit paranoid but he means well. He is a very devout pacifist. He sees conspiracies everywhere. He is somewhat forgetful but that's usually only after his 'trips abroad'.

While he thinks superheroes and supervillains are merely tools of some unseen government agency charged with making the public think some sort of 'good conquers evil' status quo exists, his recent travels have had him encountering an awful lot of them. Against his better judgement, he was grown fond of Electra. She has developed at least a utilitarian liking of him, because she was been known to attack people who try to beat him up.

LNH Roster Entry

Name: Velnarc Peterson (sometimes spelled Velnark... depends on the region or Dorfan dialect spoken.)
Created by: Jesse N. Willey
Primary Writer: Jesse N. Willey
Status: Reserved but usable with permission

First Appearance: Flames Wars V #2
First Canon Appearance: Some point in Flame Wars VI
Height: 6'1
Weight: 195 Lbs

Powers: Mildly superhuman strength. With a little effort he can lift and old model VW Beetle.

Equipment: Anti-gravity skateboard, tool belt, various dorfan weapons.

Background: His father was a human and his mother was a member of sacred sect of Dorfan warriors. To escape persecution, they fled to the planet Haven. This is where Vel was born and lived most of his life. Various supply ships would come by from time to time allowing him to receive various bits of knowledge of Earth and other cultures from around the galaxy. That is when he was dealing with the day to day mundanties of school yard bullies and giant robots.

Then Cute Anna's evil sister turned the galaxy upside down. The LNH came to haven while try to stop her. Vel was trying to make some cash to support his DVD habit, when the LNH hired him as a tour guide. Eventually the thrill of adventure got to him. Doctor Stomper offered him a job as lab assistant. Vel returned to Earth with LNH.

Due to mistakes made during this mission, Stomper and Sing Along Lass had Retcon Lad remove these events from continuity. Stomper placed Vel in a time cube. He arrived at LNH HQ just in time for Flame Wars VI... only no one knew who he was. He convinced Stomper he was telling the truth and weasled his way into becoming Stomper's lab assistant.

He had a series of small adventures, including a brief membership in The Team and then disaster struck. An evil twin showed up. This was all resolved later but since then Vel's relathinship with the LNH has been shakey at best. (Becoming an LNH reservist and then a high paid consultant, then an even hight paid diplomatic liason for the Dorfan government.)

Vel is a very torn young man. Driven by both his inner humanity and Dorfan bloodlust people often mistake him for being angry and warlike. Being a scientist, he often uses his brain more than his fist when fighting an even matched or more powerful foe. He dislikes complicated plans but has been known to make a few of his own. Those who don't know him that well say he 'fights dirty' or is even 'ruthless and excessively brutal'. He considers his tactics 'simple and efficient'. This is why, given a choice, he likes to be put on missions with Master Blaster or Ultimate Ninja. Instead he gets stuck with a peanut gallery like Onion Lad, Peelix the Cat and Doctor Stomper.

Flames Wars VI
